Airport pickups: how flight tracking actually works

1 min read

Runway lights at dusk with an aircraft on approach

When you add a flight number to your booking, dispatch adds it to a live tracker. From then on, your pickup time follows the aircraft, not the timetable.

Three checks

  • The evening before, we confirm the flight is still scheduled and the terminal hasn’t changed.
  • At departure, we note the real take-off time and recalculate the landing time.
  • An hour before landing, the driver leaves for the airport based on the latest estimate.

Early landings

Strong tailwinds can bring a long-haul flight in forty minutes early. Because the driver leaves based on live data, they are usually already inside arrivals when the aircraft reaches the gate.

Delays and free waiting

Every airport pickup includes 60 minutes of free waiting after the aircraft lands. Immigration and baggage rarely take longer; if they do, the driver waits and dispatch keeps you updated by message.
